Welcome to ShadowRealms, a tabletop RPG platform operated by Vaultica LLC ("Vaultica," "we," "us," or "our"), doing business as ShadowRealms and Vaultica Realms. By accessing or using ShadowRealms, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
You must be at least 13 years old to use ShadowRealms. If you are under 16 and located in the European Economic Area, you may need parental consent under local law. By creating an account, you represent that you meet these age requirements.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Do not share your sign-in codes or allow others to access your account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
You may delete your account at any time from Settings. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
You retain ownership of all content you create on ShadowRealms — characters, forum posts, chat messages, world-building entries, images, and other materials ("User Content").
By posting User Content, you grant Vaultica a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute your content as necessary to operate the service (e.g., showing your forum posts to other realm members, including your content in published replays you choose to share).
You can export all your User Content at any time from Settings > Data Export, and you can delete it at any time.
You agree not to use ShadowRealms to:
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users. • Post illegal content, including child sexual abuse material, non-consensual intimate images, or content that violates applicable law. • Upload malware, viruses, or malicious files. • Attempt to access other users' accounts or data without authorization. • Scrape, crawl, or automated-access the service beyond normal use. • Circumvent rate limits, storage quotas, or other technical restrictions. • Impersonate another person or entity. • Use the platform for commercial spam or advertising without permission.
Violation of these rules may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent ban at our sole discretion.
ShadowRealms and its original content (excluding User Content), features, and functionality are owned by Vaultica LLC and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
Game rules, systems, and mechanics you import or reference (e.g., D&D, Call of Cthulhu, Blades in the Dark) are the property of their respective owners. ShadowRealms is a platform tool — we do not claim ownership of third-party game content.
If you believe content on ShadowRealms infringes your copyright, please send a DMCA takedown notice to:

Include: (1) identification of the copyrighted work, (2) identification of the infringing material and its location, (3) your contact information, (4) a statement of good faith belief, and (5) a statement under penalty of perjury that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
We will respond to valid notices promptly and remove or disable access to infringing content.
We strive to keep ShadowRealms safe for all players. If you encounter content that violates our Acceptable Use policy, please report it to support@rpgshadowrealms.com with a description and link.
Game Masters (GMs) have moderation authority within their realms, including the ability to delete messages and remove members. Vaultica reserves the right to take action at the platform level when necessary.
We aim to keep ShadowRealms available 24/7 but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, updates, or experience downtime. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of planned maintenance.
You may stop using ShadowRealms and delete your account at any time.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with or without notice depending on severity. In the event of termination, we will make reasonable efforts to allow you to export your data first, unless the violation involves illegal activity or immediate harm to others.
ShadowRealms is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted.
We are not responsible for User Content posted by other users. We do not endorse any User Content.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vaultica LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of ShadowRealms.
Our total liability for any claim related to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (which may be $0 for free-tier users).
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Wyoming.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
